H-I-I-T-Timer App Reviews

Only one 4 minute regimen

How card would it have been to make this more versatile ( for instance 40 seconds on 20 seconds off, or longer periods etc.) all I have now is a simple timer for 4 minutes ( 20:10 second intervals) ... I will look for something else.

great tabata timer for tabata

real deal. works perfect!

Amazing app!

Simple, without any unnecessary features and ad. Hope itll stay the same :) Thank you guys, really :)

Tabata timer

Excellent timer. Highly recomended. It is all what you need for Tabata training.

Previous version was better

This new version with many useless features is awful. Many many switches makes it difficult to use on the go. Please get back previous version with best in the world minimalistic design. And no stupid voice messages! Only beeps rules!

Awful new version

Please get back the older version. Im not going to use the new one. You spoiled everything! It was my favorite timer!!

Wow, developers do read suggestions!

I dont remember too much about the old version or what it looked like. But being deaf, I couldnt hear the tones and didnt like not knowing when it was time to switch. It was also hard to see in certain light conditions. The tones meant everyone in house knew when I was trying to work out, and there goes any resemblance of a private workout. I needed a way to cut off tones and see the indicators to workout and when to rest. So I wrote off my comments to the developer and we discussed things in email. I didnt think too much of it as some of the other developers basically ignore suggestions that help deaf and hard of hearing. (Its all about the "bells and whistles" for most, quite literally.). So I downloaded the last upgrade and really didnt have time to play with it or forgot etc but tried it for a cycle today and WOW! Im really happy!! I can barely hear some of the tones, but I could toggle through the options and land on the no tones option. The other timing sequences are a bit advanced for my health now, but the Tabata and Ascending sequences work great. The color choices are cool too - there is a pinkish red option which works nice for night conditions and then some brighter blue and a yellow green option that works good in day conditions. Im planning to use this app much more often. Thanks!!

Horrible!

The original version was a perfect no nonsense app that was simple to use. The new version is not user friendly and over complicated a simple timer. Im working out and dont need the fancy graphics or unnecessary functions. A simple alarm that sounds at 10 and 20 secs is all I need.

Simple and works!

Its simple, as it should be, and works great. Easy way to fit in a tabata set anywhere. Would love it to work on my iwatch. Help a girl out and make it happen please!!!

Simple and effective

Perfect for speed training. The audio cues make it simple to just push start and execute a workout.

Volume is terrible

Tried suggestions made by other users. Still bad! Also there is no option to adjust timing

Awesome. Seriously.

I wish I could find this company on social media to give them major props, and to mail them money because this app is so awesome. It stays on the screen so you can see it the whole time youre working out and it doesnt interfere with Pandora or other music playing in the background. The moving bar helps you feel like youre making progress even when youre not and the count up to eight rounds is awesome so you know how far you have to go. I would give this app six stars if I could.

Countdown!!!

Very good app!! Well designed, great functions, but you forgot the countdown timer! I need 10 seconds to get into ready after pushing "start"! Also, it should remember my settings (color, etc) when I restart the app...

I like the old one better

The new tones are annoying, either you have some woman yelling in your ear the whole time or you have beeps that are way too loud and annoying... I also liked it better when I could see the numerical value of the set I was on so I knew how much more I had to go... I suppose its nice having the extra variety if you wanted to change the intensity of your work out but I just wanted a simple Tabata timer which is why I got this one... Change is not always good... and especially in this case where the timer is going to interfere with my music and work out... I guess I will look for a new timer.

Why change????

This was awesome until it changed from Tabata to Hiit. What the heck???? The sound quality is awful, Tabata has no countdown in between sets. Makes zero since. So upset. Looking for another app now.

Countdown timer!?!??!?

Cool that you added a bunch of new features and changed the appearance of what was a solid tabata interval timer, but what compelled you to remove the countdown timer!?!? Sorry but Ill be looking for other apps to replace this one now...

Not stoked

I like the old one way better!! Simple and clean. I will be looking for a replacement now, not stoked.

Bring the Countdown Back

I like the extra types of intervals that were added with the 8/23/15 update but where did the countdown for the first set go? I cant possibly hit the start timer and be in position for my first set at the same time. I also prefer more than one extra beep as a sign that I completed my entire tabata but I guess that I could live without. I really liked this app... Please bring the countdown back fast so I dont have to get a different app.

The new one is aweful, wheres the old one

The old one was perfect

The new version is no longer accessible for individuals with vision impairments.

The reviews Ive read so far are not positive for the newly released update, I cannot actually comment on the usability of the app itself because it is now not accessible. I use Apples voiceover to access apps on my iPhone and the new release has not labeled any of the elements of the app. Voice over simply reads a blank screen. Please re-release the app in an accessible form so that I can at least comment on the usability of the update. Thank you
