Wish I hadnt updated this app.
I agree with other frustrated users! This was a simple and perfect app, I was shocked when I went to use it and realized its been ruined. Bring back the old one!
Please bring back the old format. It was simple and effective.
The current version is lame. Would NOT recommend. Its not worth the cost.
I was sad when I discovered the old version was replaced without warning. Please bring the previous timer back. It was very effective & easy to use! Not the case with the update. Im ditching it.
Imagine my surprise when I was getting ready to teach my sold out HIIT class and realized I couldnt find my trusty tabata timer! I quickly downloaded a replacement and it was terrible! I couldnt believe it had suddenly disappeared after I upgraded to a new iPhone and couldnt find it in the app store. The previous countdown was perfect, easy, and most importantly -visual! I could see by the blocks which set we were on, not by number. Sometimes you shouldnt stop betting on a winning horse. Please bring back a simplified and visual version of this app.
Not happy with the update. Clients looked forward to me posting the little guy at the end of the tabata. It was like they got a reward. I like the old version a lot. Please bring back the little guy. Also the other format seemed easier to me. Old format gets 5 stars, this one gets a lower review.
This app needs a screenlock desperately. When I try to use it while my phone is in my hand (running, or using headphones, for example) its IMPOSSIBLE not to make contact with the screen, which pauses the app or changes the settings on the slightest contact. This is basic stuff. Please add a screenlock or, if there is one, make it easy to find.
I truly dont understand why everyone is whining about the update. The PRO is well worth the money and you have different sets. Tabata, metabolic, gladiator, superset, etc. You can change the color and the look of the timer. More features for what you already paid for. If you cant take 10 seconds to find the timer you want, then why are you working out? Thats pure laziness.
Like the new UI, although the name and the look was so different that I didn’t realize that it was the same app at first. I would love to have the app running on my Apple Watch and have it tap me when I need to start and stop the exercise. One other feature you really need on iPhone is the ability to run in the background. So I can turn off my phone screen during the exercise. Saves my battery and keeps me from hitting the buttons by accident.
This one is too quiet. Volume is impossible to hear with the voice
What used to be simple and reliable is now buggy and just terrible. Now the sound doesnt even work, despite my fiddling with the settings for 5 mins, turning phone back and forth from silent, etc. Total disappointing garbage.
There are plenty of complex tabata timers already on the market. This one was perfect because it was simple, at least through version 1.01. The remodeled interface should have just been introduced as new app, not a new version. It has completely destroyed any value in what was a successful app that now needs to be deleted. Someone clearly failed on this decision. Fix it by making the old version available again.
What on earth happened! My favorite app disappeared and got replaced by this crap? The new version is awful! Which app are you guys using now?
I was so confused when I searched my phone for Tabata Timer to recommend it to my friend and couldnt find it. This update destroyed the original reason I downloaded it - a simple, easy-to-read display with large numbers I can see mid-set. Its impossible to see this circular style (or any of the others) when I put it down to actually do the intervals. I wont be recommending it to my friend. Even if the new options are available, please reinstate the old, clear, 20-second / 10-second countdown view.
I love this app it does exactly what I need. Im no trainer just A chic who like to work out this keeps me motivated and offers a variety of different time setup on the timer itself. So easy to use!!!
The interface is simple and intuitive. I can hear the count over music with ease. The app is not beleaguered with dozens of options for each feature. Its simple. It works. The current version is the only version I have any personal experience with. Ive been listening to it in spin classes with instructors that care about real intervals, not verbally counting off every change-up. Spin class (independent cycle time too), elliptical workouts, and bootcamp-y abs/cardio intervals; my experience has been improved with this app. Download it. Use it. Lose it (the other apps & the weight)!
I cant fathom the negative reviews unless they are talking about a previous version or something. In my opinion this is an awesome timer . . . I turn on my Pandora workout station, lay my weights out, start the timer and start working. And its free! Good stuff - thank you developer!
